Science and Conservation Safaris
Howard has, over the years, built up a
unique series of connections with those conducting some
of the
more
interesting research
projects in African science and natural history.
Howard's safaris can offer the great opportunity
to visit these projects and get to know the people who are out
there in the field; from
following the celebrated elephant families in the shadow of Kilimanjaro;
digging for fossils of our human ancestors on the shores of Lake
Turkana in the tradition of the Leakey family's pioneering work
here; to learning what’s involved in taking blood samples
and tooth measurements from a darted carnivore!
These special relationships are enhanced
by the presence of Stephanie, who is herself part of Africa’s
longest running hyena research unit. Her ability to share her
knowledge with
guests while you are out on safari adds wonderful new insights
to the natural world of Africa. Read more about Stephanie's research
